There’s a lot we’d like you to know about the College of Business and Analytics and all we have to offer you. Check out our College Highlights.

Admissions

We are prepared to help you go as far as you want to go in your academic career.

Admission of students who do not meet the automatic admission requirements may be subject to conditions. Those who do not meet the automatic admission criteria and/or who do not satisfy the review process will be denied. For admission to a particular college or school, the faculty of that college or school may, upon approval of the Chancellor, establish additional admission requirements beyond the university's minimum standards for admission.

If you are beginning your college career and you are seeking a bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree, you are an undergraduate. You’ll start the application process with Undergraduate Admissions. They’ll walk you through the steps and answer your questions. They might even answer a few you didn’t know you should ask.

If you are coming to SIU as an undergraduate from another university or college, you are a transfer student. You will want to use many of the same services as new freshmen, but you’ll also want credit for the college work you’ve already done. We want to make the transfer process a barrier-free one, and we’ll go out of our way to make sure that happens.

Graduate students apply to the Graduate School with a particular degree in mind, or they apply as a Nondeclared Graduate Student. Our graduate programs take you to that next level you seek. Initiative is always rewarded at SIU.

Housing

We are ready to welcome you into the College of Business and Analytics' family. SIU Carbondale offers a Living Learning Community (LLC) which is a special residence hall community that brings college learning into the everyday lives of students. The LLC give students the opportunity to live in close proximity to others who share common interests and areas of study, and to have greater interaction with university faculty and staff.

Research indicates that students who participate in the LLC often have higher GPAs and are more likely to graduate on schedule. Students living in the LLC enjoy getting to know professors and classmates better‚ greater access to academic resources and specialized programs right in their residence halls.

BROWN HALL

The College of Business and Analytics (CoBA) has its own LLC located in Brown Hall. It’s located on scenic West Campus, overlooking our 40 acre campus lake.

Students living in the CoBA's LLC enjoy all of the great benefits and are among the first to receive information about events, guest speakers, career opportunities and more.
